Farm Gate to City Door Market

Tucked beneath the bridge where the river bends, the Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct is once again playing host to one of Brisbane’s most delicious days out. The Farm Gate to City Door Market is back on Saturday 26 July, bringing a curated collection of the Scenic Rim’s best growers, makers and producers straight to the city.

Running from 8am to 12pm, this special winter edition features eight hand picked stallholders showcasing everything from heirloom vegetables and farm direct meats to artisan dairy, charcuterie, preserves, flowers and small batch pantry goods. Expect award-winning cultured butter and cream from Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, honey straight from the hive, rosella jam, freshly baked bread, goat milk soaps, aromatherapy gift sets, seed bombs and even the cult fave popcorn ice cream.

Names on the lineup include Bee All Natural, Jasmine Urban Farm, My Mountain Farm, Olive View Estate, Protea King, Valley Pride Produce and Vanbery Jam Co, each bringing something unique and delicious from the Scenic Rim’s fertile backyard.

Grab a coffee and pastry from Rise Bakery, wander through the riverside stalls and fill your bag with the good stuff. Dogs are welcome, kids can run around and it’s the kind of market that turns a quick shop into a full morning out.

If you’re up for a longer adventure, hire a self skippered eco friendly GoBoat right from the precinct and cruise the river with your market goodies on board. It’s all about slowing down, shopping local and tasting the best of Queensland’s countryside without leaving the city.
