Villa Alessandra Italian restaurant

Villa Alessandra is one of those places you almost want to keep to yourself. Set in a converted house on Eagle Heights Road, this cosy Italian restaurant is run by Gloria, who cooks every dish herself using recipes passed down by her beloved mother.

The menu is short and full of heart. Handmade spaghetti with slow-cooked Bolognese, squid ink tortelloni packed with crab meat or rich lasagna layered with beef and pork cooked for hours. If you’re after something a little different, try the ravioli with smoked mozzarella and pine nuts or the gnocchi with zucchini, prawns and a splash of saffron.

Seating is limited and the vibe is intimate, so it’s best to book ahead. Villa Alessandra is open for dinner most nights, with lunch service from Fridays to Sundays.
