Tobin Wines

Tucked away in the scenic Ballandean Valley of Queensland’s Granite Belt, Tobin Wines is a boutique winery that lets its grapes take center stage. Established in 1997 by John and Kerry Tobin, this family-owned vineyard is all about minimal intervention, allowing the unique terroir to shine through in every bottle.

Set on north-facing slopes with granitic, free-draining soils, the vineyard benefits from cool climate conditions ideal for producing premium quality grapes. The Tobins have spent years guiding their vines to maturity, resulting in limited edition, handcrafted wines that truly reflect their origins.

The winery produces a range of varietals, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and Verdelho. Each wine is a limited edition, with production capped between 100 to 160 cases per varietal annually, ensuring quality over quantity.

Visitors to Tobin Wines can expect a relaxed and informative tasting experience, often led by passionate staff members who are eager to share their knowledge. The cellar door is open daily, offering a chance to sample the wines and perhaps take home a bottle or two of these unique expressions of the Granite Belt.

So, if you find yourself in the Granite Belt region, make sure to swing by Tobin Wines.
