Sunnybank Food Trail 2025

Where you go when your stomach wants a passport stamp but your wallet says absolutely not? Sunnybank, of course! It’s the unofficial capital of Asian food in Brisbane, where you can score a steaming bowl of pho, get yelled at (lovingly) for hesitating in front of a hotpot restuarant and accidentally leave with three bubble teas. And once a year, things get even better. The Sunnybank Food Trail returns and suddenly the whole precinct feels like a night market exploded in the best way.

This year’s trail lands on Saturday, June 28, taking over Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park from 2pm to 8pm. It’s six hours of pure snack chaos. No fancy seating, no degustation menus, just dozens of vendors slinging out bite sized versions of their greatest hits for pocket change. Dumplings, noodle cups, grilled skewers, sweet pancakes, fried things on sticks, it’s all here and it’s all somehow better when eaten standing up.

There’s live music floating through the crowd, the occasional lion dancer weaving between queues and that buzz of energy only food fuelled gatherings can bring. People come in groups, split up to hunt, then reunite to show off their hauls.

If you’ve never been, come hungry. If you’ve been before, you already know, wear loose pants, bring cash, and surrender to the delicious chaos that is Sunnybank.
