Ipswich is getting ready to switch on the fun when SPARK Ipswich returns from 11 to 20 July. Back for its fifth year, this beloved festival turns the city into one big playground for art, music and community vibes.
The Civic Centre will get the party started with a six-night Car Park Party celebrating 50 years of the venue, complete with local performers, roving acts and workshops. Once darkness hits, the city comes alive thanks to SPARK After Dark with giant neon musical instruments waiting to be played and brilliant animated projections lighting up Nicholas Street. Families can dive into bubbles at the Bubble Canteen, join the Little Day Out or pack a picnic for the teddy bears.
Art fans can wander through exhibitions like Growing Together and Second Chance, while music lovers will find plenty to love at the HIPSWICH showcase and live sets featuring big names and local gems. Whether you’re dancing under the stars, making neon beats or just soaking up the atmosphere, SPARK Ipswich is all about celebrating local talent and seeing the city from a fresh new angle.
