This Mother’s Day Let’s Get Creative Together
This Mother’s Day, ditch the usual brunch and treat Mum to a hands‑on creative workshop you’ll both treasure. Mas & Miek Ceramic House, the creative home of mother-daughter ceramic duo Mieke and Charlie De Deyne, is offering a one-off workshop where you and Mum can get your hands dirty in the best possible way.

In this 2.5 hour experience, you’ll learn the beautiful Japanese technique of Nerikomi, which involves layering coloured clay to create mesmerising marbled patterns. This delicate and intricate process takes you from stacking colourful clay to slicing, shaping and finishing designs that are perfect for making jewellery or small dishes. Since Nerikomi brings colour into the clay itself, there’s no need for glazing. Each piece is completely one of a kind.
At just $180 all-inclusive, everything is covered. You’ll have all the materials you need for the workshop, including tools and firing. A few weeks later, simply return to the studio to collect your finished creations and take home beautiful keepsakes and memories to treasure.
