Lightning Tree Wines

Lightning Tree . . . where wine = fun!

Wine = Fun at Lightning Tree Wines and, if you enjoy a good wine and easy conversation, then a stop at Lightning Tree Wines’ cellar door is a must when travelling to the South Burnett.

The quirky cellar door is situated in the heart of Goomeri – gateway to the South Burnett Wine Region.

A small, family-owned wine business, Lightning Tree Wines has forged a strong reputation for producing quality, hand-crafted wines. At the cellar door you’ll meet owners Vikki and Peter (if he’s not out working in the vineyard) and they will happily take you through their range of wines in an informal tasting that’s both fun and informative.

Their premium, fruit-forward wines include: NV Sparkling, Verdelho, Sassy Lassy (white blend), The Bee’s Knees Rose`, Shiraz, and Sangiovese.

Visitors can also sample the luscious hand-crafted liqueurs: Strawberry Seduction – a wine-based liqueur made from real strawberries and fresh cream, or Mocha Magic – a wonderful concoction of chocolate, coffee and cream. And for fortified fans, the limited release Goomeri Tawny makes a memorable memento.

Located in the heart Goomeri, Lightning Tree Wines is also home to a range of local produce including jams, condiments, Kingaroy peanuts and Yanjala Farm honey. Artwork by several local artists hang on the walls and there’s a wonderful selection of vintage, pre-loved fashion.

The cellar door is situated close to other boutique businesses in the quaint village, including Barambah Valley Confectionary (best handcrafted chocolate in SE Qld), Osca + Willow Artisan Soaps, The Wimberley Book Store, the Goomeri Café and of course the award winning Goomeri Bakery.

It is no surprise the tiny township famous for its annual Pumpkin Festival is becoming a highly rated tourist destination – and widely known for its charming, country vibe!

You’ll find Lightning Tree Wines cellar door at Shop 1, 35 Moore Street, Goomeri Qld 4601 – look for the big pumpkin mural on the outside wall.

  • Open 7 days: 10am to 4pm.
  • Happy Hour every day from noon!
  • Enjoy a glass of wine or treat yourself to a wine cocktail!
