Celebrate 15 years of French flair, fromage and fun at South Bank this July.
Brisbane is about to get its own little corner of France again as Le Festival returns to South Bank Parklands from July 4 to 6. Celebrating 15 years of bringing a splash of Parisian flair to the river city, this year’s festival promises to whisk you away to the banks of the Seine without ever leaving Queensland. Wander through a dreamy French market, glass of bubbly in hand, sampling gooey cheeses, buttery pastries and all the délicieux treats you’d expect from a proper French fête.

Expect a swirl of live entertainment, from toe-tapping tunes to street performances and dancers who’ll have you feeling like you’re people-watching at a buzzing café in Marseille. Keen to get a bit more French under your belt? There’ll be masterclasses where you can perfect your wine and cheese pairings or even craft your own signature scent, just in case you feel like channelling your inner Parisian long after the festival ends.

This year there’s an extra excuse to celebrate too, Maurice, the festival’s much-loved French bulldog mascot, is turning ten and you’re invited to the paw-ty. Families, Francophiles and food lovers alike will find plenty to love at this year’s Le Festival so throw on your stripes, grab your mates and say santé to a weekend that’s set to be très magnifique.
