Indooroopilly Golf Club (West course)

Indooroopilly Golf Club, known locally as “Indra”, boasts two Ross Watson championship redesigns, both dating from 1985. The East course combines the Green and Blue nines, while the usually higher-rated West course comprises the Gold and Red nines. Occasionally, other combinations of the four nines are also used (see Did You Know section below).

The West course is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Queensland. This tree-lined and open parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. The West course benefitted in 2006 from a major renovation, which included a significant and impressive amount of re- bunkering.

Sand plays a dominant role on the West’s front-nine (Gold), with expansive bunker complexes on the par-5 3rd, par-4 6th and par-5 7th holes being the most visually intimidating across the entire rolling landscape of Indooroopilly. Water plays a significant role on the inward-nine (Red) as does the changing elevation.

The Course:
18 holes. Tree-lined & open parkland. Undulating terrain – a few slopes to climb.
