Once known for its riverside views and rock climbing cliffs, Kangaroo Point is now drawing a crowd of hungry locals looking for something different. Fusion & Dumpling House is leading the charge, with owner Binson and his team handcrafting dumplings and bold Asian fusion dishes that just keep getting better. Three years in, they’ve unveiled a fresh new menu that shows exactly why people keep coming back.
“I have never stopped perfecting what we do,” Binson says. “In both aspects of providing food and drinks through good service, I want to make sure everything is the best it can be. Every dish, every dumpling are made by hand in our kitchen and use the best ingredients we can find, sourcing from different suppliers and searching far and wide for rare Asian herbs and spices.”
Fusion & Dumpling House doesn’t stick to just one corner of Asia either. The menu brings together Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Malaysian favourites all under one roof.

The dumplings steal the show, with highlights like the pork soup dumplings, pan-fried pork and chive dumplings, Wagyu champagne dumplings and fresh Hokkaido scallop dumplings. “The scallops we use come straight from Hokkaido — they’re so good you could eat them raw,” Binson says. New standouts from the updated menu also include the pan-fried chicken honey butter tea sweet corn dumplings and the beef, tomato and ten spices dumplings with spring onion dressing.
On the mains side, the signature dragon fruit infused sweet and sour pork is a long time favourite that’s here to stay, along with Binson’s authentic yellow curry duck and the Malaysian curry laksa. “I make the curry pastes myself with better ingredients than ever,” he says. Even the Pad Thai sauce is house made and has become a go to for locals.

Banquet options make it easy to dive in, with five or eight-course spreads that cover all the good stuff from dumplings, seafood, mains, house wine and a complimentary dessert. If you’re after greens on the side, there’s garlic Asian broccoli, wok-fried green beans and tempura veggies to round things out. And to finish off, don’t miss their crème brûlée, affogato or sizzling brownie.

What really sets Fusion & Dumpling House apart is how much care goes into every dish. “Most people coming here from interstate or overseas are amazed at how we serve the food. They see that everything is made by hand and they taste the difference,” says Binson. And that’s exactly what keeps the place buzzing with regulars, new faces and families.
So whether you’re craving dumplings that melt in your mouth, bold flavours that span the best of Asia, Fusion & Dumpling House will have you coming back for more.
