Forks Out, Brisbane. James St’s Tastiest Day Is Back

Brisbane’s most delicious day out returns with top chefs, exclusive eats and over 70 bites worth showing up for.

James St’s Food + Wine Trail is back and it’s bigger than ever. On Sunday 27 July from 10am to 5pm, this free event will see 8,000 square metres of the precinct transformed into a roaming, open-air feast. Across the day, you’ll find 70 restaurant-worthy bites served up by 26 venues and 40 market stalls, with live DJ sets, performances and kids’ activities scattered throughout to keep the energy high.

This isn’t your usual market fare. You’ll find dishes like spicy tuna crispy rice and Moreton Bay bug rolls from Sushi Room, limited edition pizza slabs from Gemelli and cinnamon dusted doughnut holes dripping in caramel and chocolate from Bianca. Gelato Messina is even unveiling a trail exclusive flavour for the occasion and it’s guaranteed to draw a crowd.

James & Antler is bringing out the comfort food favourites, with croques, brisket, bolognese and a Mediterranean pick for balance. Emme Bar and Gerard’s will be pouring cocktails and iced teas worth lingering over, with a spritz or gin fizz in hand never far from reach.

Whether you’re in it for the snacks, the drinks or just the excuse to soak up the street in full swing, James St is putting on a Sunday that’s hard to beat.
