If your idea of a balanced diet is a cookie in each hand, then congratulations, you’ve come to the right city. Brisbane is home to a clutch of dessert spots that take cookies way beyond the lunchbox classic. We’re talking stuffed, swirled, browned to perfection and oozing with molten centres. Whether you like them chunky, chewy or crisp on the edge and gooey in the middle, we’ve mapped out the ultimate cookie crawl. Just follow the crumbs…
Batch Cookie Bar
What started as a lockdown baking project is now one of Brisbane’s most beloved dessert spots. Run by husband and wife duo Ginger and Soren, Batch serves up thick, gooey cookies baked fresh daily at their Uptown store (which they share with Lunar Pies). You’ll also find them at New Farm, Milton and Brisbane City markets each week. Flavours change weekly, with bestsellers like Ube Velvet Crackle, Red Velvet Oreo Chip and the OG Choc Chip.

Butter Meets Sugar
One look at Butter Meets Sugar’s pastel piped creations and you’ll know you’re in for a treat. These aren’t just cookies, they’re edible art. The textures are spot on and the flavour combos? Creative without being gimmicky. Think burnt butter base with earl grey glaze, or matcha with raspberry drizzle.
I Am Ari Dessert Cafe
Tucked away in Fortitude Valley, I Am Ari brings a Korean twist to the cookie game. Their desserts are cute as a button but don’t be fooled, these flavours hit hard. Their cookie flavours go beyond the basics from Matcha S’more, Tiramisu to Matcha Velvet and more. You’ll also find airy sponge cakes layered with fresh cream and fruit, like their show stopping Flower Bouquet Cake. Subtle, beautiful and totally worth the detour.

Brookie Bakehouse
No cookie trail is complete without a stop at Brookie Bakehouse. These chunky, New York-style creations broke the internet for good reason. Fudgy, indulgent and stuffed to the brim, they’re everything you want in a cookie and then some. With flavours like molten Biscoff and Nutella-stuffed classics, each bite is dangerously addictive. One? Not a chance.

Krumm Cookie Co.
From humble markets to cult status, Krumm has earned a devoted following thanks to their thicc, NYC-style cookies. These are the cookies you need both hands for. Flavours range from nostalgic (Funfetti) to pure chaos (Reese’s overload). Each bite is dense, rich and absolutely not designed for sharing.
So, whether you’re sugar obsessed or just here for the Instagrammable crumbs, Brisbane’s cookie scene is serving heat and plenty of it. Grab your stretchy pants and let the cookie crawl begin.
