Electric Avenue & Mrs J. Rabbits

Follow the white rabbit. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

There’s a little magic hiding in plain sight in the antique precinct of Brisbane’s Woolloongabba, and if you wander along Logan Road with a curious eye, chances are you might just find it. Behind an unassuming old brick façade lies an English-esque, Mad Hatter-meets-Narnia gastro pub of sorts, Electric Avenue and Mrs J. Rabbit’s.

From the moment you step through the brass rabbit-knocker-adorned front door, you’re transported to another place and another time. Antique glass cabinets, curious artefacts, oddities smiling at you from dark corners, and enough old-world trinkets to make your nan froth. The vibe is part English pub, part offbeat speakeasy, and completely designed to make you lean in, look around, and maybe just lose track of time.

Comforting with a little flair, the food leans into English pub fare. Think spiced lamb Scotch egg, bougie bangers and mash, or the tikka masala curry. The Ploughman’s is ideal for sharing (or not, no judgement here). And if you’re nostalgic for a good old-fashioned Sunday roast with all the trimmings, make haste and book a table for their Sunday English pub roast.

But that’s just Act One.

Upstairs, on special occasions, behind an unassuming wardrobe (which may require a password), you’ll find Mrs J. Rabbit’s. This hidden speakeasy is every bit as enchanting as it is magical and cosy. Step inside and you’ll be wrapped in deep velvet, moody lighting, killer cocktails, and just enough whimsy to set the tone for an unforgettable night. We recommend booking ahead—the space fills quickly.

Mrs J. Rabbit’s specialises in cocktails with a twist, premium spirits, and a Friday night Piano Bar. It’s imaginative, theatrical, and the kind of place where the mixologists know their stuff. You’ll find yourself immersed in something a little spellbinding—and talking about it long after you leave.

Find the wardrobe. Step through. Let the story begin.
