Woolloongabba’s intimate D.Vino blends old world European hospitality with modern flair for an unforgettable dining experience.
You don’t need a passport to get a proper taste of Europe, just a reservation at D.Vino in Woolloongabba. Tucked into one of Brisbane’s hidden gem foodie pockets, this intimate 40-seater manages to bottle up everything we love about long European lunches and late night wine bar hangs, minus the jet lag. It’s got the mood lighting, the warm service, the clink of glasses and the kind of menu that makes you quietly start planning your next visit before you’ve even ordered dessert.
Inspired by the wine bars and restaurants of Piedmont in northern Italy, D.Vino offers a selection of tapas style sharing plates alongside creative à la carte dishes, all centred around fresh seafood with hints of Italian and French flavours.

It kicks off strong with snacks and entrées. I Gamberi sees prawns wrapped in fine kataifi pastry, perched on guacamole mousse with crispy pancetta. The Mini-Burger Di Tonno is a bold bite worth slowing down for, with bluefin tuna tataki, black garlic, caramelised onion and a touch of passionfruit mayo all packed into one mini burger. Calamaro Ripieno brings stuffed North Queensland calamaro filled with parmigiano and herbs, served with smoky pepper veloutè, looking like a little work of art and tasting even better.

From there, you’ve got choices, very good ones matter of fact. The Medaglione Di Pesce plates up red emperor medallions with leek cream, crispy leek, char grilled broccolini and a golden tangle of fried capelli d’angelo. If you prefer something on land, the Filetto Di Agnello is the go to. Perfectly cooked Margra lamb loin teamed with radicchio, plum and carrot cream that pulls it all together.
It’s all made to be savoured with a glass in hand and D.Vino gives you 400 reasons to do just that. The wine list is a beautifully curated beast packed with Italian and French gems alongside quirky Aussie finds. It’s won the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards not once but twice, in 2023 and 2024. Not sure where to start? Ask the staff, they’ve got the perfect recommendation and a story or two to go with it.

And with all the pistachio hype going around these days, you really can’t leave without trying the Soufflè Al Pistacchio, served warm with berry compote and gelato. It’s absolutely divine and trust us, you’ll want to savour every bite.
If you’re looking for a touch of European charm without the travel, D.Vino is definitely worth a visit. And chances are, you’ll be thinking about your next trip there before you’ve even finished your meal.
