Brisbane’s Best Breweries to visit this Winter

Forget hibernating….. Winter is prime time to brewery hop. Crisp air calls for even crisper lagers and vibes that make you wanna snuggle into a corner with your crew. Here’s where your taste buds actually wanna be this winter.

Slipstream Brewing Co | Yeerongpilly

Located in a renovated industrial space, Slipstream Brewing Co. offers a rotating selection of hop forward beers and hearty fare like burgers and pizzas. Their spacious beer garden is family friendly, featuring cubby houses for children. The venue is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 11 am to 10 pm.

Archer Brewing | Wilston

Housed in a WWII era hangar, Archer Brewing features an aviation themed decor, including a bar crafted from the last Ansett 727 plane. They offer a core range of beers made from 100% Australian ingredients, such as Mid Lager, Pale Ale and Ginger Beer. The venue also hosts trivia nights and functions.

Sealegs Brewing Co

Tucked beneath the Story Bridge with front-row views of the Brisbane River, Sea Legs Brewing Co is an independent brewery run by a crew of mates who know their beer. They operate a 15-hectolitre brewhouse with plenty of tank space to keep the taps flowing. The space has a simple, industrial feel, with concrete floors and exposed tanks that let the brewing do the talking.

Green Beacon Brewing Co. | Teneriffe

Established in 2011, Green Beacon Brewing Co. is known for its award winning beers like the 3 Bolt Pale Ale and Windjammer IPA. The brewery operates daily, offering a range of beers in a casual, industrial style setting. They also have a new venue opening in late 2025 at Landers Pocket near Brisbane Airport, featuring a brewery, distillery and entertainment precinct.

Caxton Street Brewing Co. | Petrie Terrace

Situated on the iconic Caxton Street, this brewery offers a selection of house brewed beers, spirits and spritz. Their food menu emphasises Australian and American cuisine, providing a casual dining experience. They are open daily from 11:30 am, with extended hours on weekends.
