Founded in 2017, Brisbane French Theatre has become a cultural bridge between Brisbane and France through the power of performance. Each year, the company stages productions in French with English surtitles, giving both French speakers and non-French audiences the chance to enjoy authentic stories from French theatre.

More than just performances, this group is about participation. They run workshops in acting, set building and front-of-house work so people can get behind the scenes as well as up on stage. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to learn the texture of dialogue in French or help build the world where a character lives, there’s space for that.
Whether you’re fluent in the language or simply curious, Brisbane French Theatre makes French culture accessible and engaging right here in Brisbane.
