Three weeks of theatre, music, circus and big nights out. Brisbane Festival runs 4 to 26 September 2026 and it’s the one event that takes over the whole city every spring.
Kick things off at Riverfire on Saturday 5 September, a free fireworks spectacular over the river that basically signals the start of Brisbane’s best season. From there, the program runs hot. The Choir of Man is already selling out with extra shows added, ESCAPE brings jaw-dropping circus and physical theatre, and Strong is the New Pretty runs 1 to 19 September for something with a bit more grit. Families are covered too with Dead as a Dodo and the hilarious Mama Does Derby.
