Brisbane’s annual BrisAsia Festival is back with a vibrant program of events celebrating Asian culture, creativity and community across multiple suburbs from 13–22 February 2026. The ten-day festival brings together music, art, performance, food and family-friendly experiences in a city-wide showcase that honours tradition while spotlighting contemporary voices.
Highlights of this year’s lineup include cultural celebrations in Chinatown Mall and Fortitude Valley, where lion and dragon dances, market stalls and performances take place over 21–22 February, creating a colourful weekend atmosphere for all ages. At Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, Lunar New Year in the Gardens offers an outdoor cultural experience with live entertainment, martial arts, interactive workshops and roaming performers set against scenic surrounds.
BrisAsia’s program also features dedicated showcases for dance, comedy, music and film, with events staged across Brisbane’s cultural precincts, community spaces and performance venues. From cutting-edge contemporary interpretations of Asian art to traditional storytelling and craft workshops, there’s something for both festival regulars and newcomers alike.
Food lovers won’t want to miss pop-up dining experiences and night markets that bring together local chefs and Asian flavours, while special festival presentations and talks explore heritage, identity and creativity.
Whether you’re exploring cultural markets, catching a performance or simply soaking up the festive spirit, the BrisAsia Festival offers a dynamic way to connect with Brisbane’s diverse communities and celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse.
