Bennie Adam Ice Cream Bar started as a family passion project that got a little out of hand, in the best way. Hassan, the eldest son and a trained chef with years spent in Melbourne’s fine dining scene, couldn’t stop tinkering with ice cream recipes at home. Every batch got better, and before long the whole family was hooked.
What began as kitchen experiments turned into a full-blown business, driven by a mix of trust, pride and a serious love for good ice cream. One store became two, including the bright and airy Bulimba spot on Oxford Street, where locals now drop in for their post-dinner scoop or late-afternoon fix.
Hassan still makes every batch by hand, experimenting with new flavours and chasing that perfect scoop. Now with more than 30 flavours on rotation, the team’s goal isn’t to sell a product, but to share a moment of joy. Because sometimes happiness really is as simple as licking a frickin’ good ice cream.
